Dr. Daniel Trott, Lab Director

Daniel W. Trott, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas of Arlington. Dr. Trott received his B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of New Mexico. He earned his Ph.D., focusing on the vascular biology of aging, under the mentorship of Christopher Woodman at Texas A&M University. He completed two postdoctoral fellowships, first training with David Harrison at Vanderbilt University and then, with Tony Donato and Lisa Lesniewski at the University of Utah. In 2018 he launched the Integrative Immunology Laboratory at the University of Texas at Arlington. Dan enjoys spending time with his family, triathlon, cycling and exploring the southwest. David Buckley, PhD Student

David Buckley received his Bachelors and Masters degree in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University. His current research interests are the how the immune system plays a role in age related vascular and metabolic impairments. In his free time David enjoys watching college sports and playing golf.

Sunita Sharma, Research Assistant Scientist

Sunita Sharma joined the II Lab since Nov 2019 as a Research Assistant Scientist. She has an MS in Medical Microbiology and Nutrition Science. She came here with diverse experience from academia as well as industry (biotech and food). She takes care of day-to-day lab functions and performs lab techniques like PCR and processing samples for flow cytometry. She lives in Arlington with her husband and son. She enjoys cooking, watching movies and travelling.
